The House of Tipi (Partner: Actuality Media)

I volunteered for a documentary outreach organization called Actuality Media. I produced a short documentary in Vietnam alongside a director, cinematographer, and editor about an english speaking community & cafe in Da Nang: 'Tipi Cafe.'

While giving voice to a English learning community, the film illustrates its humbling backstory, bold current mission, and its continued goals to pioneer a greater English learning movement in Vietnam.

My role as a producer was to manage the team schedule, shoot logistics, production budget, manage the edit prcoess, be the lead communicator with our partnerships (the cafe, locations, and executive producers).

Synopsis:

β€œOn a busy street in Da Nang, one of the fastest growing cities in Vietnam, stands an unassuming cafe with a big mission. Walk through its open gates and you will be welcomed into the Tipi community: home of collaborative, conversation-based English learning. This film follows the generations of those who have built Tipi Cafe and grown together from its humble foundations.”
