Google teamed up with VICE to promote the Samsung Galaxy Flip4's unique hand-free photo features, and also to foster more diversity & inclusion in the art of self-portraiture. VICE tapped into 4x artists & influencers to tell stories on what self expression means to them. The 'Selfie-zine' campaign included 4x docu videos, photo stills, a custom digital hub, and a custom print i-D magazine. 5,000 copies were distributed to 50+ locations.
As the account manager, I helped managed the entire campaign process, oversaw creative operations, presented campaign decks, and managed timeline & budgets. I led the client brand partnership with Google, managed internal teams during the production of the series, and oversaw social & digital & print media distribution across VICE O&Os.
This campaign overdelivered by 17%, and was shortlisted for the 2023 Cannes 'Brand Experience & Activation' category. About 2% of campaigns submitted make this shortlist.
